SUNDAY 3DECEMBERTrio (op. 44) Performed by Maya Magub (violin), Christopher Gough (horn) & Scott Mitchell (piano) A violin sighs quietly in the twilight, a piano trails behind, and a horn begins an old, sad song. Johannes Brahms discovered that when you put these three instruments together, you create a special kind of poetry. His beautiful, intensely personal Horn Trio complements Lennox Berkeley's very British vision at the heart of this concert by the RSNO’s Leader Maya Iwabuchi, Principal Horn Christopher Gough and pianist Scott Mitchell.
