SUNDAY 31OCTOBER2.30pm: Words and Music - Auden and the English SongThis afternoon of events, in association with the Lennox Berkeley Society and the kind cooperation of the patron of the concert, Mr Noriyuki Ida, celebrates the achievements of the prolific W H Auden, considered by many to be one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century, and looks to the rich musical settings of his texts by both Berkeley and his colleague and friend Benjamin Britten.
